AI has already become a familiar tool in the hands of designers: generating images and text significantly simplifies and accelerates the design process. But it’s not just those tasks that can be delegated. One equally promising use case is the automation of the early stages of interface development, particularly the creation of wireframes. Rough mockups make it possible to quickly define the page or app structure, identify key elements, and build interaction logic—even before visual design begins. Thanks to AI, designers can now generate a basic layout in just minutes instead of building it manually from scratch.
We decided to explore how three popular platforms — MockFlow, Framer AI, and Relume — help automate wireframe creation using text prompts. To do this, we gave them a simple task: generate a landing page for an online hotel booking service. Here's what we found.
MockFlow
MockFlow is an online platform for quickly creating wireframes, sitemaps, user flows, and other UX artifacts. It enables designers and teams to build interfaces in the early stages using simple drag-and-drop tools and ready-made component libraries for web and mobile projects. Thanks to templates and an intuitive editor, MockFlow is also suitable for beginners with little or no design experience. In addition, the platform supports centralized documentation storage, UI style guides, and user flows.
But the most interesting feature is the AI assistant, known in MockFlow as the UI Layout Generator (currently in beta). When tasked with generating a typical landing page, the system performed fairly well — creating the basic sections quickly.

Advantages of MockFlow:
- Quick start with no design knowledge required
- Simple interface and templates for various platforms
- Versatility: from wireframes to full UX documentation
- Cloud storage with autosave
- Integrations with Jira, Slack, and Google Drive
Framer AI
Framer is a modern web platform that combines visual design tools with web development capabilities. It allows users to create responsive websites with animations, interactions, and built-in hosting — all without writing code. Framer is great for quickly testing ideas, editing content in real time, and launching sites with integrated CMS and analytics.
The Framer AI feature makes it even easier to start new projects by generating a basic website structure from a text prompt. The AI creates logically built wireframe layouts with minimal visual styling and auto-filled textual content. While this doesn’t replace full UI design, it provides a strong starting point for manual refinement directly within the Framer editor.

Advantages of Framer AI:
- Generates responsive structures from text
- Sections and content are created simultaneously
- Editable directly in the interface
- Option to regenerate individual blocks
- Live publishing without additional tools
Relume
Relume is a platform that uses generative AI to build websites based on text descriptions. It's especially popular among designers, marketers, and web developers who want a quick way to structure future websites with pre-made blocks and copy. Relume can generate a sitemap (a very handy feature), logically structured page sections, and basic visual styling. The result can be exported to Figma, Webflow, or Framer, making it a convenient starting point for further development.

The tool creates logical wireframe skeletons with prewritten text content and basic styles. Thanks to clearly structured blocks, designers can easily adapt the generated layout to fit any project — from a simple landing page to an agency website or SaaS platform. Relume also allows users to adjust section styles and save designs as templates.

Advantages of Relume:
- Very fast website generation from text prompts
- Logical structure and well-grouped blocks
- Export support for popular tools
- Generates not only structure but also text
- Great for team collaboration
- Saves time during the initial UX phase
Summary
AI tools for wireframe creation are evolving rapidly and can already significantly speed up the early stages of the design process. They don’t replace designers but eliminate the need for repetitive manual work, enabling faster layout creation and more focus on creativity, detail, and user experience. While each platform offers its own strengths, the real value lies in how these tools empower designers to move from concept to structure faster, freeing up time for what truly matters — thoughtful design and meaningful user interactions.
